Sound Immersion Retreat - July 2022

Join us 14th - 18th July for a truly special sound immersion retreat at the beautiful Pauntley Court in Gloucestershire. Jeni & Kate will be hosting this long weekend and will be joined by the wonderful Molly Chinner who will be immersing you in beautiful sound and gong baths.

This retreat will be different to you our usual offerings, and will be entirely centred on sound and how it can enhance our yoga and meditation practices. The weekend will start with a talk on the importance of sound and silence and how each can affect our practices. Over the first couple of days we will gradually build sound into our practice until you are fully immersed in glorious sounds, filling your senses and drowning out all thoughts of daily life. We will then start to decrease the sound with practices becoming quieter until we reach Sunday which will be a silent day.


During this silent day you will be lead through a practice with minimal instruction and we will be encouraging you to head out into the grounds or find a quiet corner for contemplation and introspection. This will give you the perfect setting to listen to the thoughts, feelings and emotions brought up during the previous days immersions. As you move into silence you will be able to process your internal environment and look inwards for personal discovery and growth. We will be on hand to facilitate and of course if anything comes up or you need to ask questions we will be available.  On the final morning we will come together in an open space to discuss what we may have discovered about ourselves, you do not have to share your reflections if you do not feel comfortable. 

There will still be 2 daily yoga practices and afternoon workshops on certain days, so you will have plenty of time to work on your physical practice too. Just with the special edition of Molly's beautiful sounds. 

A retreat is the perfect opportunity to focus on your yoga practice away from the distractions and stresses of every day life. With 2 practices a day, plus the option to participate in workshops, whether you're a beginner or more experienced you will come away having learned something new and feeling stronger and more confident.

The Venue

We are lucky enough to be heading back to the stunning Pauntley Court, nestled in the Gloucestershire countryside between the Cotswolds, the Malvern Hills and the Wye Valley. This beautiful house will be our home for 5 days where you can explore the gardens, surrounding countryside, or nestle up in one of the gorgeous period rooms. All bedrooms are en suite, many with luxurious roll top baths.

If you do not wish to pay the full amount up front, a £150 deposit will be required to secure your spot and then a payment plan can be arranged. Full payment must have been made 1 week prior to the retreat start date.

A bit about Molly

Molly is a truly special soul, having worked with her before we are so excited to be able to offer you the experience of her magical sounds. Molly has many talents, working as a Yoga + Meditation Teacher, Sound Healer, Cacao Alchemist, Massage Therapist, Self-love advocate and wild Witch.


With a background in professional music and performance, spending many years touring as a singer-songwriter, Molly journeyed through many different phases, faces and versions of herself, trying to desperately conjure a greater understanding or connection to who she was inside. 


It was through this darkness that she was lead to the ancient healing powers of Yoga, Meditation, Sound Healing and Plant Medicine. Her gifts and love of music were reignited. She felt the vibration of stillness.


Now working with Yoga, meditation, sacred sound, mantra, breath and plant medicines - moving you beyond what you know, beneath what you see, towards your highest truth, revealing the wisdom you can find in the dark and in the stillness.


To Molly, everything is vibration, there is beautiful music and resonance surrounding us.


All we have to do is listen.

Molly's intention is to empower you to step into your own unique alignment and return to the beautiful guidance of your own heart - radiating your light and lifting the collective conscious vibration.


All meals are included in the cost of the retreat. Not only will you have main meals provided, but there will also be drinks and snacks available throughout the day should you fancy a bite to eat or a hot drink. 

Jeni will be offering a plant based menu designed to provide you with all the nutrients you need to fuel for and recover from your yoga practices.

Retreat FAQs

2 classes a day sounds intense, what if I can't/don't want to do it all?

All classes are optional! We recommend you attend them all to get the most out of the retreat, but first and foremost this retreat is about you relaxing and feeling good so if you don't fancy it one day that is absolutely fine.

The morning classes will be 90mins and more dynamic, whereas the evening classes will be much more restorative and designed to release and counteract the work of the morning sessions. 

I'm a beginner/new to yoga, will I find it too hard?

All of the sessions on our retreat are open level and accessible to practitioners of all levels of experience! The immersive nature of a retreat makes it the perfect place to start your journey into yoga. There will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions and break down poses or different aspects of the practice. We aim to be fully inclusive, absolutely everyone is welcome!


A silent day sounds intense what if I can't or don't want to do it?

As the silent day is scheduled to come at the end of the retreat you should feel relaxed and much more at ease with the idea by the time we get there. We will be on hand throughout the retreat to answer any questions in the run up, during and after to make the idea less intimidating. We feel it is so important to incorporate these kinds of practices as when are we truly ever silent and present with ourselves when work and life are constantly in the way? As with everything else on the retreat, it is all optional and you don't have to do anything you don't want to. We do hope you'll give it a try and see what happens though!

What style of yoga will we be practicing?

Jeni & Kate will be offering a variety of styles on throughout the week, including Vinyasa, Mandala, Restorative & Yin. It could be the perfect opportunity to try something new!

How many people will be on the retreat?
Our maximum capacity is 12 guests.

Is equipment provided?

No, you will need to bring your own mat. If you do not have your own please let us know in advance and we will be able to loan you one from the studio. Please also let us know if you require any blocks or straps as we will be bringing some with us on request. 

I want to come but am nervous of sharing a room with someone I don't know...

In our experience, sharing a room on retreats can lead to life long friendships and is a wonderful way to meet like minded people you may normally have never crossed paths with! The fact that you are all booked onto a yoga retreat automatically gives you something in common with the other guests, and in such a family like environment you will be surprised at how quickly you bond with your fellow yogis.

Will there be any extra costs involved?

Travel to the venue is not included in the price, however we will set up a whatsapp group prior to the retreat so you may be able to organise travelling with others to cut costs.

The only other extra cost that you may find is if you choose to book an additional massage while on the retreat. These can be arranged with Amy, you do not need to book in advance.
